Persuasive Sicilian white
from Planeta
Planeta's Chardonnay is born in the Ulmo and Maroccoli vineyards, located in the municipality of Sambuca di Sicilia, in the province of Agrigento.
It is produced exclusively with Chardonnay grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand. After destemming and soft pressing, fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature in barrique. Subsequently the wine is aged in barrique for 12 months before being bottled.
This Chardonnay is characterized by a golden yellow color, with green reflections. The nose opens rich and intense, with hints of apricot, peach, Golden apple and figs, enriched by pleasant notes of honey and pistachios. On the palate it is rich, pleasantly creamy and smooth, with a fresh acidity.
Perfect to accompany fish and shellfish dishes, it is ideal in combination with white meats and soups.
