When we talk about French oysters, we usually think of Normandy and Brittany. Our selection of oysters is now expanding thanks to this unique and particularly sought-after product, raised on the coasts of the Pays de la Loire region, a region that takes its name from the valley of the same name, a UNESCO heritage site.
THE PRODUCER: "LES VENDEENNEES DU LARGE"
As in wine, there are large or small houses that enhance the territories. These oysters are raised with artisanal care by a family of oyster farmers from the Vendée, a small department in the region particularly suited to oyster farming. The name evokes the territory, exactly as if we were talking about "Franciacorta" or "Champagne".
RAISED BELOW SEA LEVEL IN THE "POLDERS"
This oyster is raised in particular portions of the coast called "polders" which, thanks to the help of dams, dry portions of the coast from the sea, obtaining natural tanks rich in phytoplankton, perfect for the best growth of oysters.

All 6 hectares of the company's oyster parks are located in the Bourgneuf bay. The vast territory allows to have different exposures to the oceno. The less exposed and less tumultuous plots are used to ensure the breeding of young oysters, the areas most exposed and lapped by ocean currents are used for fattening and refining.
